Welcome to Hotel Hesselet
On 17 March 1967, the new hotel "Hesselet" in Nyborg was inaugurated. The hotel is built by a
consortium consisting of fam. Haustrup and fam. Wolhardt, Hong Kong. The hotel is located on the old, scenic Christianlund Hotel site, located directly next to the beach and surrounded by forest on 3 sides.
The hotel, which was designed by architect Bent Severin, is designed as an angular building in 2 floors with red brickwork, projecting bay windows and a roof with a large overhang, which very beautifully adapts to the terrain and blends in naturally with the surrounding forest. To the south, the hotel has an unobstructed view of the water and large designed terraces. The distinctive Japanese-style garden, especially around the entrance, was designed by garden architect Eigil Kjær.
The building is also designed with a large hall with a marble floor and a sunken lobby with a fireplace. Furthermore, the hotel contains a garden room decorated in bright colors and a living room designed as a library furnished with mahogany furniture. The hotel's Restaurant (former grill restaurant in
1967) is built with a niche where there used to be an open grill with copper-clad walls. The front is designed as a tile section decorated in the Trankebar pattern by the Royal Porcelain Factory. The room is covered with paneled walls and a beautiful coffered ceiling that harmonizes with the niche
design.
Hotel Hesselet is today owned by Sinne and Steen Sørensen and managed by Hotel Manager Christina Petersson and Gastronomic Manager Lasse Paulsen and currently employs nearly 50 employees to look after guests' interests. It should be mentioned that in the construction and location of the hotel, a great deal of emphasis has been placed on, in addition to the lovely beach in front of the hotel, the fact that one of the country's best golf courses is located close to the hotel. In addition, great emphasis has been placed on the fact that it is centrally located and very unobtrusive and is therefore particularly suitable for business and holiday stays. They have thus applied
to create a hotel where guests can feel at home in cozy surroundings
and high level of service and exquisite gastronomy.

3: Health and Well-being:
We offer both guests and employees free access to our outdoor facilities, such as use of our own park, forest and use of our bicycles. We have a strong focus on the importance of fresh air for our meeting guests, and therefore it is recommended that our guests take a break during the day for a walk by the water and the forest.
Our employees have a health scheme and are continuously informed about the opportunities this gives them.

6: Clean water and sanitation
We closely monitor our water consumption and continuously work to reduce it.
Every time we replace a fitting, it is changed to a water-saving fitting.

7: Sustainable Energy:
Our light sources are continuously replaced with energy-saving LED bulbs throughout the hotel, and we have set up 6 charging stations for the guests' electric cars.

8: Decent Jobs and Economic Growth
We train industry students and have a close collaboration with Kold college.
We have employed flexible jobs in the bookkeeping department and continuously train our own staff so that they constantly develop and improve their skills.

12: Responsible Consumption and Production:
We sort waste and use an approved hauler to collect all waste.
We constantly increase our focus on food waste and on our consumption of raw materials and make a lot of use of local suppliers, and we have our own herb beds that we use in our cooking.

Traffic connections

We are located 5 minutes' drive from the Storebæltsbroen in
Nyborg, 10 minutes' walk from Nyborg station and are located in quiet
surroundings between beech forest and the beach.

Rooms

Hotel Hesselet has 59 double rooms
in total.

43 double rooms and 4 suites are
furnished in classic style, and 10 double rooms and 2 suites are furnished in
modern style and with terraces.

All rooms have wireless network,
minibar, safe, telephone, TV, electric kettle and hairdryer and bathroom with
double sink, bathtub and separate shower. All nights are incl. large breakfast
buffet and free access to a delicious pampering area with pool, hot tub, heated
chairs, sauna, infrared sauna and fitness room on the lower floor.

Capacity

Hotel Hesselet's many meeting rooms make it possible to find the right,
personal room for your meeting, whatever the occasion. The conference
rooms are equipped with all modern AV and IT equipment and have wireless
internet throughout the area. In the hotel's largest and newly renovated room,
we can have up to 150 people in a cinema setting. The Hessel area is the newly
built conference department, which contains 2 meeting rooms and a catering
area. The premises can i.a. furnished for conferences, meetings, workshops or
seminars with up to 150 participants. In short:

court, exercise room and walking/running routes in our beautiful nature around
the hotel as well possibility to rent bicycles.
