Copenhagen Island is situated directly at the waterside of Copenhagen Harbor, providing a
splendid view of both the harbour and the city's rooftops. The surrounding
areas, especially Islands Brygge and Kødbyen, just a 5-minute walk from the
hotel, are worth exploring. Kødbyen boasts cafes, restaurants, bars, and
nightclubs, creating a fantastic atmosphere in the old slaughterhouses and
shops, making it a popular gathering place for both locals and visitors in
Copenhagen.

The neighbouring Havnebadet is the perfect spot for a swim or relaxation by the
water during the summer. Numerous jogging, walking, and cycling routes are
available just outside the door. Additionally, you can rent a small motorboat
from Copenhagen Boat Rent, located right in front of the hotel, for your own
canal tour and a unique view of Copenhagen from the water.

Light, air, and glass are the recurring themes in our Kim Utzon-designed hotel. You'll
notice it as soon as you enter the foyer, the heart of the hotel, located in a
7-story glass tower adorned with high-gloss surfaces and blue glass art by Lin
Utzon. Here, you are greeted with abundant natural light, casting crystalline
reflections from the surrounding water mirror in the harbour.

Traffic connections

Arrival from Copenhagen Airport: Take the train from arrival terminal 3, track 2 towards Copenhagen or Helsingør, and disembark at Copenhagen Central Station.
The hotel is a 15-minute walk from there.

Arrival from Copenhagen Central Station: Take the S-train from tracks 11 or 12 towards Dybbølsbro Station and walk to the hotel across the bridge.

Taxi: A taxi from the airport costs approximately DKK 320 and accepts payment with
Dankort and most international credit cards.

Arrival from the Oslo ferry: Take the S-train from Østerport Station to Dybbølsbro Station.

Public transport in Copenhagen: 

Use the City Pass, providing unlimited use of buses, trains, and the Metro, including to and from the airport. 

The City Pass is available for adults and includes two free children under 12 years. Order and use the City Pass directly from your mobile phone.

As a guest at Copenhagen Island, you'll experience the 4-star and undisturbed 'vibe,' with our 326 bright and spacious rooms framed by water at the forefront of
Copenhagen Harbor. We offer rooms in 5 categories, with the majority having direct harbour views from floor to ceiling.

The design features a maritime theme with a red thread of decorations, colours, and surfaces. You'll notice the bed headboard taking the form of a white sail, bedside tables resembling metallic ship masts, and the minibar crafted from the distinctive rosewood pattern known from luxurious yachts.

conference rooms and exquisite restaurant.

Facilities

We offer a range of facilities and services to ensure a comfortable stay, including free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, air conditioning in all rooms, and flexible
check-in and check-out times (check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out before 12:00 PM), along with an express check-out option. 

Our weekday breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and on weekends from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Guests can enjoy parking facilities, use the fitness centre, and savour delicious dishes with a harbour view at Restaurant The Harbour or relax in our cosy bar. 

Additional amenities include an elevator, 24-hour reception, roomservice Monday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM (last food order at 10:00 PM), luggage storage, bike and car rental, meeting and conference rooms, a lounge, as well as same-day laundry and dry-cleaning service.
