We offer 91 rooms, including 83 double rooms with either Queen-size or King-size beds. All rooms are thoughtfully designed to respect the historic surroundings, creating a charming and atmospheric stay.
Our rooms are spread across the main building, our newly constructed wing from 2020, and the historic “Rejsestald”, built by King Frederik IV in 1723. Each room features a renovated bathroom and a workspace with a desk.

Store Kro is located just a stone’s throw from Fredensborg Palace. It’s a 10-minute drive from the Helsingør freeway and 15 minutes to Hillerød. Fredensborg Station is about a 10-minute walk away, with local trains to both Hillerød and Helsingør. Additionally, bus connections provide access to Kokkedal Station, where you can catch the coastal train to the airport.
