Rooms

When the Day Draws to a Close
As the day comes to an end, a room filled with peace awaits you. Our 28 bright and newly renovated rooms offer soft duvets, private bathrooms, and a sense of seclusion – far from distractions and close to nature. Here, you’ll wake up to the sound of birdsong and views of the park and mini-golf course, not flickering screens – because there are no TVs here, and that’s entirely by design.

Instead, the rooms invite you to unwind, reflect, enjoy long conversations, and embrace still moments. These are rooms made for retreat – the kind you’ll want to linger in a little longer.

Well-Equipped Meeting Facilities
Our fully equipped conference room accommodates up to 90 participants and includes all essential AV equipment. We will, of course, arrange the room to suit your specific needs, ensuring the perfect setup for your event.

In addition, we offer four breakout rooms, ideal for smaller meetings and workshops.

Getting Around North Zealand

In North Zealand, travelling by bus and train is easy and convenient. From Copenhagen Central Station, S-trains depart directly to Hillerød every 10 minutes, or you can take the Coast Line (Kystbanen) directly to Helsingør every 20 minutes. From Hillerød, the Local Train (Lokaltog) connects to Helsingør, Gilleleje, Hornbæk, Tisvildeleje, Frederiksværk, and Hundested. There are also many bus routes serving the entire surrounding area.

If you’re travelling from Copenhagen by S-train and wish to continue further into North Zealand, we recommend taking the Coast Line towards Helsingør or the S-train towards Hillerød. You can find detailed travel information at Rejseplanen.dk.

You can bring your bicycle for free on S-trains and local trains. However, on the Øresund trains and on buses, you’ll need to purchase a bicycle ticket. Train conductors and bus drivers decide whether there is available space for bicycles.

The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals

The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to bring us closer to a more sustainable world for both people and the planet by 2030. Achieving these goals requires a collective effort – from governments and global organisations to local businesses.

At Munkerupgaard, we actively work with five of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. And while some of our initiatives may be small, we firmly believe that even small actions make a difference.

Goal 4: Quality Education
At Munkerupgaard, we contribute to vocational training and job placement for local citizens with health challenges by offering inclusive and qualifying work training opportunities.

Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
For cleaning, we use only mild, environmentally certified products in limited quantities to help maintain the highest possible water quality.

Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
We are continuously improving energy efficiency at Munkerupgaard. We are currently exploring the replacement of our oil heating system with a more sustainable heating solution and considering the installation of electric vehicle charging stations to encourage the use of EVs over fossil-fuelled cars. In addition, 90% of our lighting has been replaced with LEDs.

Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
To minimise transport emissions, we prioritise local and regional suppliers whenever possible and consolidate deliveries to reduce frequency. We place great emphasis on waste sorting and recycling, ensuring that all waste is properly separated to reduce environmental impact.

We also use organic ingredients whenever possible and are working towards earning the Danish Organic Cuisine Label (Bronze). Furthermore, we produce a small selection of ingredients ourselves, which we proudly serve in our kitchen.

Goal 13: Climate Action
Munkerupgaard has set a goal to reduce our total CO2 emissions by 10% over the next three years. To achieve this, we are working to replace fossil fuels with more sustainable energy sources and continuously improve the energy efficiency of our buildings, supporting Denmark’s national climate targets and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Activities

Use Nature – and Strengthen Your Meeting

The surroundings of Munkerupgaard invite you to take active breaks and gain new perspectives. Enjoy a walk-and-talk in nature, play a round on our 12-hole mini golf course, or take a refreshing swim in the sea.

We also collaborate with professional teambuilding providers who can help strengthen teamwork and connection – from strategic collaboration exercises to more unconventional and memorable experiences.
